Find Your Rainbow

There’s an old saying that says something about ‘finding the gold at the bottom of the rainbow’. We’ve all seen the little leprechaun with his pot of gold, it’s even on cereal boxes in the supermarket! Well, I feel that for this week’s motivational post, it’s going to be all about finding your rainbow. After all, you can’t find the pot of gold without the rainbow?

I find that in these times of lockdown, isolation and just plain weird situations, it’s not always something where we see the positive. All over the news it’s about how many people have coronavirus, how many people have sadly passed and what restrictions are in place to prevent the spread.

I think what the news should really be focusing on is how many people are  now over the virus, how many people have come together and spent time with their families due to what’s happened.

I appreciate that for a lot of people it’s surrounded with worry about jobs, health and family among other things but seeing some positivity every now and then would help to bring people’s spirits up a little.

So this post is all about finding your own rainbow.

What’s making you happy from day to day? Maybe it’s walking your dog and hearing the birds, maybe it’s that you have more time to bake, maybe you have more spare time to write your blog or watch films you’ve always wanted to.

All I’m trying to say is don’t focus all of your attention on the negative, make sure to find the positive and focus on that a little bit more. After all, positivity is one of the things that will help get us through this and remember, you’re not stuck at home you’re safe at home!

Love, always – B

  1. My boss has implemented “Making Lemonade Monday” and encourages us to share our happy moments with the team. My neighborhood has a “Rainbow Hunt” with residents hiding rainbow images on their property – in windows, on porches, even sidewalk check.
