Becoming

This is probably gonna be a deep post, but it’s all in a good place and will let you in on me and how I’m feeling a bit more. It sounds really silly to say it out loud but imma say it anyway, since I got married I’ve felt more me than ever.

Time.

Any wife or bride to be will know that when you’re in the process of getting married, that year or for me 18 months is absolutely jam packed with thinking of everything. You’re thinking about your dress, the guest list, the decorations, the cake, the invitations, who’s going to be sitting where, who’s going to come on your hen, where’s the hen going to be.. so on and so forth.

Now that’s all over, it’s like all of a sudden I have time for me. I have time for the blog (something I put aside when I was planning the wedding). It’s a very strange feeling to explain, but once the wedding’s complete, you can finally be your true self again. After all, no one (apart from those who choose to be) are equipped to be wedding planners.

Me.

Me, who am I? Well since the wedding, I’ve definitely become more emotional and in touch with my feelings. I had a post wedding lull. I was in a funk for a good few weeks around November/December. Not having stuff there to plan anymore is quite overwhelming and although you have all the memories, photographs and videos, you also have the realisation that it’s never going to happy again.

I feel I’m more open to talk about my feelings, I definitely cry over stupid things a lot more but I like who I am now.

I feel like me.

What next?

I’m more passionate than ever to make, hopefully, a career out of my loves in life. If you read my blog then you know that this is illustration and animals. Although I am a passionate vegan, I try not to preach too much about it. I enjoy giving people the facts and then they can read into it and make their own decisions. Of course, it’s hard for me to not dance and shout about it sometimes, but I always try and be open-minded to all.

I really hope that in the future, no matter how near or far, I’m able to make a living out of my work. There’s nothing I love more than food, animals and drawing – so doesn’t that sound like the perfect job for me?

I hope you’re all doing well and as ever, thanks so much for your support. It really helps seeing your comments, as it lifts me up and makes me realise that this ‘me’ who I am is someone that people enjoy, get on with and have stuff to talk about with.

I’d love to know something about you, so leave me a comment below. I want to know what makes you feel the most you.

Love, always – B
